Martinelli Giuseppe & Luisa Zinfandel 2021

The Giuseppe & Luisa Zinfandel is produced from vines that were grafted from the budwood of the centurion vines on Jackass Hill and planted on a rocky knoll above the Martinelli Winery. The brightly colored label is the original label that Giuseppe used when he started the first Martinelli winery on Martinelli Road in the 1880s.

Immediately upon pouring, your nose is engulfed with aromas of dried cherries, stone fruit, black tea, and fresh picked raspberries. The palate is mouth-coating in an intriguing way from the layers of tannins. Flavors of ripe apricot, black cherry, and sweet cream are found on the palate. A hint of white pepper is present along with white peach in the lingering finish.
